I am looking at the Browning Buckmark Camper .22 5 1/2" barrel 10 round that Bass Pro Shops has on sale now for $249.88 OR the Smith & Wesson 22A .22LR 5½" Model: 107437 Bud's Item Number: 18172 that Buds Gun Shop has for $249.00.

I will be using it for just plinking, teaching my son to shoot a pistol, and for .22 bullseye league shooting competition.

Im just wondering what other people think of these two guns ? Is one better or worse than the other ? Any personal experience ??? any HELP ?

Thanks,

J

I think general consensus will be the buckmark, I'm looking to pick one up myself after my wallet recovers from the holidays.

I have not shot the 22a, but my Buckmark works great. I have had 2 of them. I also have a Walther P22. The Buckmark has fed all ammo, the P22 will not feed some types well.

Buckmark is my vote.

I agree with Rabbi. Save up a few more dollars and get either a Ruger Mk II or III.

I have one of each and they are great guns. IMHO

No matter what you get, you and your kids will have a lot of fun with a .22 pistol.

My dad has an OLD Ruger that my son is going to get from him to try out. It is atleast 40 years old.

An for me getting a new one. I think i have decided to get a Browning. It seems most every gun shop owner and gun counter personal at the sportsing goods and camping places say go for the Browning. So I am thinking of getting the stainless browning.

What ever I do I know my son and I will have a ball at a cheap price.
