Our December '07 outing was a success so let's keep the momentum going! Just to keep things simple, we'll keep the format identical and then consider alternative restaurant venues as we move forward.

We will meet for lunch at Famous Dave's in Smyrna. After lunch we will head to the On Target indoor shooting range in Murfreesboro,TN (click for map) to get in some range time. I would expect that we will arrive at On Target somewhere around 2:00pm and be there for a couple of hours.

I would remind everyone that Famous Dave's does serve alcohol for on-premises consumption.

When you arrive at Famous Dave's, the party will be seated under the name "T G O" ... so you can ask the hostess to be seated with us, or you can just look for me and any others sporting the TGO ball caps.

See you then!

Well to be fair... Famous Dave's isn't the one who prohibits carry in their restaurant. It's the State of Tennessee that you can blame for that one. :-\

C'mon, now! Famous Dave's serves some vegetables... I think. I wouldn't really know, I'm always too busy eating yummy piggies!

If there would be interest... maybe we should plan on doing some group activities/contests when we get to the range? That would get everybody more involved I think.

I've got some fun targets we can use as competition... maybe a little $$$ involved? :confused:

Maybe $1-2 each to join in, then we all get the same style target and whoever scores highest gets the pot? Maybe we can even get a shop owner or something to give us a goodie or two so everyone can join and have a chance to win? (TGO hat, anyone?)

A competition would be fun... but could we pull it off at On Target?

Another fun idea would be to form TGO "squads" for shooting at USPSA events in 2008! East TN, Middle TN, West TN... :D

Shooting paper targets shouldn't be all that difficult to do at On Target. I mean, we can just hand each shooter his target (I print them off on regular copy paper) let everybody go shoot, then later judge them and pronounce our winner. If anyone wouldn't mind (I'll volunteer) his lane, each person can just go in and have their go, one after the other.

I'd also be in for the team shooting... but seeing as how I've never partcipated before, I'd probably bring down the average score for the first few matches!

Awwww c'com! Don't you know that pink grips are a marvelous aid to accuracy, and decrease follow-up shot times by up to 90%?! You're at a great advantage, until I get pink grips for all my revolvers, that is!:lol:

Same day as Hero Gear's big sale. Might there be a way to combine both events? If I'm in state that weekend, I'll be there.
