Ok, I have been lurking for a while. Actually Im just not much of a talker but wondering if anyone is going to be at the IDPA shoot in Oak Ridge this saturday. I shot IPSC style matches long time ago but havent shot IDPA. Wont know anyone there and would like to meet up with someone to show me the ropes.

I have never even seen one. It's on my list. This weekend I have a family Easter deal though. I'm game for going to one or the steel challange or both.

I will be there. You can pre register at ORSAIDPA. New shooters need to arrive early for orientation.

Shooting a semi-auto? You will need at least 3 mags. There is new shooter info with what you need on the web-site. New shooters are always welcome.

What part of Seymour do you live in? I have family there.

Do they welcome spectators? I'd like to watch one of their idpa events. I'll probably start shooting in them maybe as soon as May.

Spectators are also welcome, just be sure to bring eyes and ears protection.

bubbiesdad,

Ive already pre registered and checked out the new shooters info. Got plenty of mags also.

Bluemax,

Be more than happy to meet up with you but it will depend on if I have to work right after the match or not. I may not be able to head back to Seymour after alls done.

bubbiedad,

Its been over ten years since my IPSC days and no longer have my race gun. Looking forward to just a good time and fun shooting.

Also looked at the CoF for Saturday. Right out of the box theres a mover. It will be interesting to see how well I do on it with so much rust.

I am going to try and go each month. Ill give you a heads up on how it went and maybe look for you in May.

That would be great. I'm pretty interested in getting into it this spring.

I want to watch one first and then give it a try.

Just got back from the match today. For those of you that have been interested in going but havent you should go. There was a pretty good crowd today. The match is running pretty well. The group I was shooting with were all laid back and easy going and we had a good time. I will make an attempt to make it each month.
