After shooting Ohshoot's XD I finally decided it was time to get one of my own! I decided to go with the XD subcompact in .40 S&W. I went to Bill's Outpost today and picked this up. Bill had the best price around and he even threw in a box of Hornaday ammo for me! I strongly recommend Bill's Outpost!

I've been calling Mac, "Chief" for a couple of years now. It started when someone commented in a thread about prairie dog hunting, a comment that Mac did not agree with and made his thoughts known. The OP became offended by Mac's genuine sarcasm (imagine that...:D) and began his next post with "You listen here, chief..."

It just struck me funny and I have been calling him "Chief" since then. I also have grown to like the old fart since then, and he has helped me out more than once when I needed some guidance. He's good people.

Aint ya...Chief!?:P

I couldn't agree more, I spent all day at the range last saturday with him and Mike.357 and Garufa. They're all good people! OS is one of those guys who can tell you stories all day and their still interesting. I don't know if I have the balls to call him chief though:cool:

I only call him Chief when I'm looking for an opportunity to have some humor at his expense...He always takes it very well. He's got a good sense of humor. I like him. And, I've never even met him other than over the telephone.

But we don't take long walks in the park together or nothing...jeesh.:D

XD's are great, think I will keep mine. Of course mine is not the euro woosie caliber or the 10mm short. It is the mother of all auto loaders, the .45 :P

If you insist...

My carry guns include the XD40 Subcompact and the XD45 Service model. I love everything about them. It's becoming easier to find accessories specifically for them. Not quite like the Glock market yet, but gaining ground.

I am most accurate with the XD platform, and never leave home without one of them.

I stopped by Bill's Outpost today for the first time. Nice place and nice folks. I had to explain TGO to them and suggested they check us out. Not a huge selection but some decent pricing compared to other shops in the area.
