Just picked up a new Henry Frontier Model .22 lever action at a local gun shop! Can't wait to get to the range. Will sight it in with .22 LR and then see where the CB Shorts hit at close range. Should be dandy for popping varmints (including rabid raccoons) on the property. Don't have a picture but here's one from the Henry website.

I wish they came with a color case-hardened receiver!

Love those lever guns, any lever gun. Although my favorite is my pre 64 94 Winchester I've always thought a 22 plinker would be nice.

I have a Henry H001, it is on the "never sell even if hell freezes over" list.

I do think they are fugly with scopes, but I don't knock other's preferences.

I would love to have an octagon barrel but that is not what I found used at a gun show. And I am very happy with mine. perfect companion to my Ruger SAS.

Congrats

Oh yeah, only good advice I can really offer is don't waste you dough getting a loop lever. Nice if you shoot in the dead of winter and have to wear gloves. other than that you would be better off spending 50 bucks on 1500 rounds
