Picked up something unusual this weekend. A Marlin model 25 pump gallery gun that only shoots 22 shorts and cb's. It's in pretty good shape for a gun that was made in 1910. Anyboby have any info that would share on this thing ?

I just repaired one of those the other day. It was a joy to shoot after I got it running. Sounds like you may have got a winner! I love old rim-fires. Probably my favorite type of rifles to collect. Did you get a good deal?

Well, I think I did as long as I don't count that I drove 200 miles in the rain to meet the seller. I also got a nice Ithaca model 49; their not that collectable but I learned how to shoot with one a very long time ago and have been on the look out for one. Any idea of the value on the Marlin ? I would rate it at 75 to 80%. The wood has some dings and is darkening with age but no cracks. The metal still has most of the original blueing with no pits or rust
