Earlier this week i purchased a two tone p226 that had only had one mag put threw it.It was bought new in late 1997,fired one mag and then put away. I got it out wed. to try it out and the first two mags went great. Then on the third mag i started gettin 2 to 3 either light primer strike or the firin pin would not hit the primer at all out of every mag. I thought it might be the ammo but it did the same thing with 3 different types. Anybody know what is causin this?

I field stripped it and cleaned, oiled it when i got home. It was very clean when i bought it.On a side note, the slide seems way harder to pull off of the frame than it should be. Could this have anything to do with the problem? thanks

It would appear the he had put the spring on the guide rod backwards as the opposite end gave more resistance when i put the guide rod in. I hope this fixes the problem. Thank yall very much for the advice. I will let yall know how it runs tomorrow.
