Picked up this monster last week and had about an hour with it today at lunch (Larrys in Huntsville, indoor range).

I got 20 rounds of the federal .410 000Buck pistol ammo, 20 rounds of 195grain .45Colt and 10 rounds of 3inch .410 slugs .

This little SOB kicks! I liked shootin the .45LC, I could get them on the paper @ around 25 feet and the recoil wasnt too bad. The slugs where murder, not much fun.

I had some real problems with the trigger. I still dont think I got my trigger zen down. I might have to get a blank for dry firing and work with it a bit.

It was fun, but Ill have to wait a week for the bruising in my palms to go down before I shoot it again.:D

They look nice, but because of the kick, I can honestly say I have no desire to own one. Congrats though. Glad you like it.

hahaha yeah I love mine...I have the "snake slayer" version. It shoots great with 45LC but the .410 is painful...remember the trigger hinges...just use the tip of your finger...a lot of people have problems shooting mine because they try to pull straight back....definitely a well built piece of machinery.

I've got an American Derringer Model 1 in .45 Colt...which can also fire the 410 shell...but I just stick with .45s. I shoot mine with 250gr. lead...:)

I call it 'the most fun you can have with your clothes on...:)'

I tried the SS with 3in 410 so it became a safe queen. I will try 45lc next time I take something out back to shoot. Thanks for the heads up on that!

Yeah as long as you get standard pressure (and I dont mean you have to use the wimpy cowboy action rounds...just no +P) you will be just fine...if you have trouble finding a good standard pressure 45lc load I will be more then happy to give you a couple of my double tap rounds to test out. Just shoot me a pm.

If people knew where you were in TN I am guessing someone might chime in to where you can get some. :screwy:

I have the Bond Arms Snake Slayer and shoot .410 000 buck ammo without any problems. It's one of my favorite guns to shoot when we go to the range and I do take it with me every time we go! No bruising here!
