glock all the way. i have had kahrs and taurus, i have had 3 or 4 of taurus pistol or revolvers and i have had to fix every single one of them. even the new ones gave me problems. i don't care if i ever own one again, i still own the 357 just as a cheap wheal gun but will replace it when a good deal on a ruger or smith come around. the kahr has a long trigger but functions well and shoots good. glocks are just the best choice IMO, i have never been let down at all with a glock.

My every day carry is a Kahr MK40. I've had it 8 or 10 years and it has always been reliable. I carry it in my right front pocket mostly and have gotten so used to the weight that I don't feel it any more.

My wife griped so much about the sights tearing my pockets that I knocked both sights out and had a smith make two SS inserts. I also had him machine a shallow groove on the top of the slide to serve as a sight assistance. (I figure that it is only a belly gun, for close work, and I don't use it for fun shooting.)

As to the break-in, I put over 150 rds down range when I bought it with never any problems. At the time I bought it Kahr offered an "Elite" trigger as an extra. After trying both the Elite and the standard I opted to spend the extra and get the Elite. I've not been sorry.

I've got other guns that are easier to shoot but when it might be my life I want my Kahr.

Personally, I wouldnt even put Taurus on a list with those 2. The Taurus revolvers are great, but I had a bad experience with one of their semi autos.

My vote would be for the Glock. great carry piece. Goes bang EVERYTIME.

Which model if you don't mind me asking?

A .45 ACP Millenium. Had so much trouble outta that sucker. I think maybe only one mag went through without a problem. At first I blamed it on limp wristing. Had the 'smith look at it and tinker with it. Tried different mags, different ammo, No dice. So I traded it in. I shouldnt say they are all bad. I absolutely LOVE my .38 Taurus snubbie. But it left sour feelings with me. No way Id carry one and let my life depend on one.

Of course thats just me. Ive heard of others owning the same pistol and loved it.

I figured as I've heard quite a few complaints about the Millieniums.
