ther are some compnies I thought of that aren't listed, but this should bring a point to some of the naive people. if they would tariff this problem that has gone out of control, then we would have jobs forthe currently unemployed. I hate to suggest taxing something, but that is the only way to curb the problem aside from a outright import ban which would cause alot of other problems

I believe that I've heard that we have the 2nd highest corporate taxes in the world. Probably going to #1 in a year or two.

By the way strel, I work for CSX. It is based in Jacksonville, FL, and it's locomotives usually stay in the US, or maybe Canada. My license to drive them is not good in other countries. We transport goods, not jobs. Please take them off that list.

Why isn't basic economics being taught in schools anymore? A company exists to make a profit. A popular way to make a profit is to provide a product or service. Some of the things you need to do this include, but are not limited to: Tools, Labor, Materials, and Capital (money). Customers want the best possible product at the lowest possible price. Investors (shareholders) want to earn the highest possible profit. Workers (labor) want to perform the least amount of work possible for the highest possible wage. Competition and market conditions regulate these variables. Anything the government does throws a monkey wrench into the workings of the free market system.

The reason companies rely on foriegn labor is because it is comparable in quality while being cheaper. This pleases both the consumer and the investor. How else would you propose all this to take place while you are doing little labor for an artificially high wage, while expecting to buy products for next to nothing prices? Less government regulations and lower taxes would go a long way towards bringing back manufacturing jobs to the U.S. I really don't care, because I'm not at all interested in a factory job.

And they've allow illegal immigrtation to go unchecked and destroy the wage base besides. Finally the loss of jobs and income (thus tax revenues) have come home to roost and the socialist/communist pricks wants to bitch and moan about it, give me a f...in break. What, they have finally realized that the over leveraged American economy is on the verge and they are not going to have the revenue to spend or the ability much longer to borrow to fund their socialist utopia. CSX doesn't have a retail outlet that I know of. Apples and oranges, strel. The US tax code and labor laws determine how a company will act and where it will reside. The market will ultimately determine if that company succeeds or fails, until recent history,

where the messiah stole companies. I would love it if Apple made my iPhone here. I still bought it and I like it.

I'm not so sure the government has the right to tax companies for moving jobs overseas, but how about LOWERING taxes for KEEPING JOBS IN AMERICA. Of course, the most effective method of convincing companies to bring work/jobs back to America is to NOT BUY THINGS MADE OVERSEAS (as much as possible). For some reason I have the feeling that asking the government to do things for us could get OUT OF HAND. But, I could be wrong..............
