Just listen for the faint yell, "Marco!"

Hrm, I might feel the need to come if there's shooting involved. I'll be picking up a brand new hk45c before the week is up. Gotta play with it somewhere. (although norris is a much shorter drive)

I've got a GPS that took me straight there last time I went, which wasn't that long ago. The road he lives on "stops" 500 yards back, though, so as long as you know the last little stint you'll be fine. It "stops" in that the GPS's map thinks it does.

If enough people have trouble figuring out how to get there by Saturday, we can try meeting up at a centralized location everyone CAN find and just caravan down.

Wasn't there a thread about your fishing partner a long time ago? :)

Well, it was posted awhile ago but I believe it was deleted because the individual who was pictured had.....huge....tracts of land. And that is, apparently, in bad taste.

Bring lawnchairs and maybe a small folding table if you have one.

There is a Burger King (and other places) near there where you can grab something before heading down the backroad to Mark's place. I emphasize before because it takes a minute or twelve to get back out. Pack a lunch. Coolers welcome. No alcohol.

Wear a hat and you might want some bugspray since its outside.

Also, targets. If you happen to have some type of yardsign that is no longer needed, it would make a decent target stand. No glass. You are welcome to shoot tin cans, but bring a trashbag to clean up the tin cans when you are done. If you have some sort of target stand, by all means, bring it on up.

You will want to bring water to drink.

You will learn something or teach something about firearms at these shoots.

RANGE NAZI WARNING:

Range safety rules are in full effect.

No alcohol.

Eyes and ears required.

If you are doing something stupid with your firearm be prepared to be told to stop what you are doing in a firm tone. We don't mess around when it comes to safety. Its for everyone's safety.

Obey range commands.

Every shoot is a fun shoot and you will meet some great people and make new friends.

RULE I:ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY

RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET

Looking forward to seeing you all Saturday!

Hi all.

Thanks for covering the basics, SunTzu.

Directions are posted at the link on page 11 of this thread. Alternately, for the gps equipped, plug in the street address shown on the map, city is church hill. Make sure you select Dickerson road - there is a Dickerson lane that is nowhere near me.

For further info or a contact number, PM me by Friday, I will respond in the late, late evening.

Looking forward to it!

Arrrgh! My son graduates high school this Saturday, so I will not be able to come. Hopefully there will be more of these over the summer?

We'll be practicing Garufa's video. :meh: Of course, that gets rid of most of the range rules I posted earlier. :D

AMSting, yes, there will be more, though the location will vary.

I'm assuming most of you guys will be going from Knoxville up to 81? From me, It will probably be easier to go over to Bean Station and over through 11w. But just thought I would throw this out there if anyone wanted to share the ride time?
