Because the GOP has been equally out of touch, and for a good long while, otherwise it couldn't have happened.

People primarily vote their pocketbook, the 50% or so max that vote at all, that is.

It'll swing the other way over the next 2-8 years, with about the same results to the nation's vitality.

I don't disagree about the games on both sides. However, this health care catastrophe couldn't have happened if the Dems would care more about the people, nation and what's right than they do about Obama's whacked out agenda.

This isn't about the GOP. They are outnumbered - numerically irrelevant in this vote. Sure, they could have fixed it the right way years ago, but at least they didn't trash it.

I just heard Rep. Phil Rowe from Kingsport on CSPAN say that they are filing to opt out of obamacare.

Like we opt out of NFA for guns made in TN.

I heard it was 38 states that were preparing to challenge this power grab with lawsuits. That's also enough states to cause a constitutional convention. I heard Michelle Bachmann mention the IRS agents and had to get a couple of Tums. It looks 16000 more targets.

Maybe Mae Beavers will add stronger language to the next bill and exclude

other mention, like that respect to the National Firearms Registry.

But it comes down to the argument of what actually needs fixing in health care. I don't see where there is any evidence the republican party has caused harm to health care. The democrats own every one of these bills since FDR(democrat). LBJ started

medicare and medicaid(?). Democrats have regulated the insurance industry and have made it into a quasi-governmental entity. This bill puts it in concrete, and lets the IRS

collect the fees. But the feds regulate the way you live or die.

I bet if you took the role of the government out of medicine and insurance, it would still be exponentially better than what it's about to be. I can't see the republicans

blame in this process. Blame Bush all you want. Obama has been successful, doing just that. Groovy

If it feels good do it. Do it 'til your satisfied.

This has never been about health care. Raw power. Government. Destruction of the

Constitution. Turning us into european subjects. I can't wait to see the response when

he finally proves to you that he just usurped the house and senate, with one fell swoop called healthcare.

John Boehner is raking em over the coals. He's still part of the slime but at least he appears tonight to be the white speck on top of the chickenspit.

I think I have set a new personal high for CSPAN viewing today. Flipped back and forth from the Bristol race to CSPAN and then went straight to watching the house debate. They need to go ahead and call for the vote though now. It's all been said. Time to Dance.

You seem to think I'm in favor of the current abomination. I merely try to point out some ahem, "inconvenient truths", as I see them.

Parliament of whores - following the money (until it's worthless).

I trust you have at least a minimal survivalist (one year) plan for whatever family you have?

Hollywood influence, they have to build it to a bigger finish right at the wire.

Also, some of those so proud to have their names one way or the other will wait till time expires to that they can walk to the bench and have their vote read into the record. I predict Pelosi to be one of them.

Crap, there it is, 216. The new 666.

It would in a CC, but so would possibly more than we wish. That's the danger with a

CC. We've been in a crisis for a while, officially since Obama took office for me, but

realistically for a long time. When the politicians voted for a measure to get a pay raise

if no vote occurs, that did it for me. What was that? 20 or so years ago?

The states could be gearing up for more than just a challenge on health care, right

now. I hope this does reach the CC and a lot gets remade, but it will be rough on everyone for a while. It is a wait and see thing. I'm loading more bullets.
