Don't be too harsh on Alexander. He put his nose under the tent. I was pleasantly

surprised.

He voted for cloture on Harold Koh, and was the only Republican Senator to vote against HCP carry in National Parks for starters. Can not be anything but harsh on that RINO.

Just heard him railing about how Dem policies will cause university funding to plummet, mentioning that he was a university president once.

Yeah, and Lamar himself was personally to blame for UT losing state funding during his short stay as president of said university. It set a precedent and has never been restored to pre-Alexander percentage funding levels.

Just another stepping stone on his way to a (fortunately failed) run at POTUS.

I agree he is a RINO. It would be nice to see him

replaced with a true conservative. But he is what we

have and it's better than a run of the mill democrat,

from the latest bunch.

OS, Lamar will never be POTUS. His days are done.

Oh, one more thing. How difficult will it be to get the State Attorney General to file?

Admittedly, the Governor is Democrat, and called the legislation against the forcing of Tennesseans to buy health care as "grand standing," as he believes this law is trumped by the superior federal laws... The Governor also states the Health Care law has some major unfunded mandates on the state. (He doesn't sound like a fan of the health care law, but it doesnt sound like he will do anything, either...)

But, what most do not know, is the AG is independent of the Governor, and is appointed to 8 year term by the State's Supreme Court. (I assume to remove the issues of politics, LOL) So, will the AG file or not?

Right, no political ties at all.

"Prior to his appointment, General Cooper served as Legal Counsel to Governor Phil Bredesen from 2003 to 2006."

He is also, of course, a Democrat.

My guess: won't file.

You've read his namby pamby statement?:

I'm doubting that these law suits will have any success.

Not sure about the actual statutes being passed though, maybe between them and the gun statutes they'll lead to secession!

Nah.
