Need to buy MRE on short notice.

Do any of you know where I can buy MREs that come with heaters in or around Nashville?

I was just told a few minutes ago about a camp out this Friday afternoon so I don't have as much time as I would like to prepare. Otherwise I would have just ordered them online.

We would be fine with just taking sandwiches or junk food, but I would really enjoy a nice meal next to the fire. I won't be able to boil water, so I think the Mountain House stuff is out. And that is really all of the dehydrated food I can find around here.

Any suggestions will be a huge help. Thanks!

PM me with a phone number. I can help you for free. Pick up around 109/I40 area.

That's very kind of you. I can always count on some kind people on TGO. That's a bit of a drive for me though.

I was able to find some at Friedman's. Thanks a bunch for the information guys. I'm ready to rock!

I know you don't need them now, but you mentioned Mountain House earlier. They have a heater pouch (Mountain Oven) that comes with 5 heaters in it. I found a few at Dick's Sporting Goods last summer. Their website says they still make them but I don't see them everywhere that sells the meals. They don't cost much either so maybe you'll have another option the next time you need a meal heater.

LOL! I thought you meant exit 109. Thank you anyway. I really appreciate it.

Let me know if you need any more. I don't head back out of town till Sunday.

If you don't mind the going back to the MOuntainHouse idea, my Walmart sells these backpacking stoves that screw on top of the little gas canisters. The whole thing fits easily into the palm of your hand and weighs less than a pound, even with the fuel. I think they are around $24 plus $5 for the fuel. Can boil a couple of cups of water in a few minutes.

When your done, you can throw it in your bug out bag.
