So after this thread was posted, Glen and I got some parts together to get his truck looking a little bit better.

We got a grille, turn signal lamps, Drivers headlight and some minor clips and parts that had been broken off.

Pulled the old parts off, fit up the new parts as best we could. There was some minor shade tree engineering on a few parts. Namely the drivers side headlight. The bracket was in about 6 peices. Not only that but the radiator core support was bent back to the point that even if we had the part it wouldn't fit on with out a lenghty sesson with a mini sledge and the tree and chain going again.

Better solution. Err.... a quicker solution... We drilled and put two screws in through the top and hung the light directly off the grille. Lined everything up against the shop wall and sealed up the holes. Two RTV "bushings" under the light should keep it from vibrating or getting knocked loose from the clods of mud that this truck regularly sees.

Two more screws in the bottom of the grille to secure it to the bumper where all the clips had been broken off and she fits up almost as tight as before.

Add to that a quickie rattle can job on the newly re-clearanced hood. and you have this....

Heh.... I drove around for about a year and a half in an old '66 Merc. Comet with the right side headlights duct taped into place. :P

Too bad you guys weren't around to fix it right. But then, that was about 4 years before you were born... :puke:
