new holster

Mailman brought my new DM Bullard holster today. It was about eight weeks from the time I placed the order to delivery. I'm very pleased with David's work and can't wait to get it properly broken in. Thanks to Oh Shoot for touting this holster. I think I'll be very happy with it.

I've been pondering ordering one of these myself. Congratulations!

Nice setup!

I've amassed a collection of his holsters at this point. David does awesome work.

His belts can't be beat, either. I've got a brown and a black one, and don't expect I'll ever need another one in my lifetime.

I have had mine for over a year now. It just seems to fit better with time. Congrats and enjoy! :hijack:

You might try putting the clips on the outside of the slots in the "tuck" position. I wound up wearing mine that way all the time, lets the holster "wings" wrap around your waist nicely.

Also, I put the forward clip in top hole and back clip in bottom hole to maximize cant.

I see you got the optional belt loops. I tried them myself, but found them too bulky, what with the necessary vertical additional leather attachment.

Happy carrying!

Nice Holster. I'm telling you though, Bullard owes OhShoot some kickbacks for sure... :D

I didn't know if the belt loops would be something I'd use or not, so I ordered them just in case. I can see what you mean about the extra bulk, though. I'll definitely try moving the clips around to see if I can get a better fit. I think one of his belts may be the next thing I look into. Thanks again for the heads up about Bullard holsters.

Looks great. I wish I had bought that. thumbsup.gif

I bought a SuperTuck about a week before I saw these; I hate kydex.

Is that opened at the barrel end? I can use my SuperTuck with my Compact or Full size M&P. I wonder if I could do the same with that.

Yeah, it's open at the barrel end, but it's kinda tapered at the bottom. I don't think a longer barrel would fit through the opening. This holster is really formed to fit the 9c exactly.

+1 to this. I tried it (at OhShoot's recommendation) a while back, and it made a big difference for me. Much more comfortable that way. :D

When OhShoot recommended it, I went ahead and moved the clips just to try it, and you guys are on to something. I'm wearing it around the house to break it in and it's much more comfortable that way! Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, they are formed by length, but you CAN put longer gun down through there without too much resistance. I can use my XD Service in the Dual Carry. I also have a BodyGuard OWB for the SC, same thing, the Service goes down through there okay. But it's not optimum, as presents a little resistance on draw.

I would not have thought a longer barrel would fit through the opening without a lot of resistance, but it's good to know it will. I see a full size M&P in my future.

Here's my 4" XD service in DualCarry and BodyGuard holsters that were made for the SC 3". They go down through them pretty easily and come out with just a little more pull, not much. As long as you were expecting it on draw, comes out just as quickly.

My poor Dual Carry I really abused; I put MoleSkin over entire back of it and over course of long hot summer with many long sweaty walks, I let too much moisture stick around on it. I used brown Kiwi on it, but the cosmetic damage was done. But it still works just fine, still supple and everything.

Wow, that Dual Carry has some real character! That's the great thing about leather. When it's really broken in well, it becomes more comfortable. I got a pair of Rocky boots without much sole left on 'em, but they're so comfy, I find myself wearing them all the time. I can't wait for my DC to become that comfortable.

Yep, OhShoot convinced me to go DM Bullard too. I've got 2 Dual Carrys and one of their pockets. I use the Kydex clips they sell on my Duals. While the leather belt loops look nice, I think they print a lot for me. Good quality leather and workmanship.
