I'm usually at the shop all day Saturday anyway. But if I hear it's worth going to this time I might head out there Sunday.

I'll be there, with some suppressors, AOW's, SBR's, SBS's, etc for sale. I'll probably have some lowers, as well.

My buddy, who operates Tennessee Police Supply, will have some lowers, AR parts kits, stocks, range bags, gun cases, and other stuff.

Come by and say hello. If you come by on Sunday, it'll be both of our birthdays, so wish us a Happy Birthday! (He and I met about a year or so ago, and realized we were born on the exact same day. I'm about 4 hours older than he.)

Never mind--sounds like I'll be there. Might even get the ball rolling on a suppressor or SBS as a Christmas present to myself.

Well, if the kids are agreeable and the wife is I might come by. I will have to check with her and see what she has going on. Since it is during nap time it might be okay. This would be on Sunday. Anyone want to try a meet and greet at a specific time on Sunday at the Franks booth?

Brian, definitely up for that. Was going to set something up at Range USA in Jan but the gun show sounds like it would be a good place too. 1:00 or so? I'm open for any time, just throwing something out.

For those of you have have booths or have gone to t he gun show here in Memphis at the fair grounds in the past.

What is the rule her in Memphis at the Fair Grounds on carrying your gun with a TN Hand Gun Carry Permit ? Is it allowed here or should I leave it locked in my car ?

You can carry it but they are going to make you zip strip it opened. I would recommend NOT leaving it in the car considering the location of the fair grounds. It is such a "lovely" neighborhood.

do they search you?

and if you zip it opened, can you have the ammo loaded in the mag for when you leave?

That is the major reason I quit going. The last time I went, I was disarming at the door, and one of the knuckleheaded guards indicated that a lot of "stupid people" (his words) bring their guns into the gun show loaded. Considering the neighborhood, he was the stupid one.

The idiots that run the shows do not seem to understand that by making EVERY attendee handle their sidearm to unload it, they seriously increase the risk of a ND. Aside from that, I have never seen a barrel or bucket of sand to use for unloading and reloading. I used to go to pick up reloading supplies and look around, and never had any intention of removing my sidearm from it's holster. I do not like handling my pistol in that type of situation; people everywhere, coming in, walking on either side of me, distractions galore...... I often wonder how many times the people at the door get swept by muzzle.

I haven't been to one since that knucklehead made that comment, and probably won't.

I'll be there as close to 1:00 as I can manage . . . really hoping Frank can make it, looking forward to seeing what I'll likely spend my tax return on.

I'll be there around 1:00, short guy, high-and-tight, in a gray Memphis hoodie.

I am going to try and make it, will probably have to take half, possibly two thirds of my kids with me. I haven't talked to my event planner/the present getter so I am not sure if I am obligated with other activities or not.:tinfoil:

If you conceal your handgun, no one will know. You won't have any problems carrying it loaded because these 'hot shot' security guards can't pat you down at the door. I've carried at many gun shows by just concealing and enjoying myself.

I'm going to be there, but it will be Saturday morning, right when they open at 9:00. I've got some other things I need to do around the home, so I want to get in, look everything over, and then head back out.

It's usually not a 'great show' or anything like that, but every now and then you might find something worthwhile, so I figure why not go and see?

Hope you all enjoy yourselves on Sunday!
