Unless you went to Owl Hollow and forgot they're closed the first full weekend of every month. What a bummer! Glad you guys had fun, though. And what a great gun to start with.

the ranges all seem to be crowded anymore

I was at Hobson Pike both Saturday and Sunday. Both days had a wait list for the rifle range. On Saturday I only got pistol shooting accomplished. On Sunday I went there at 2:15, got hit with the wait, and turned around to leave. It was frustrating. I think everyone was out to take advantage of the weather.

I was a little more than annoyed at what happened. My son was in town, and we both wanted to shoot my new rifle. We went up there hopeful of getting a few rounds in before I had to be at a 3:00pm meeting at church. I didn't think that was possible when we were told of the waiting list, so I left for my meeting. At 3:15 when no one else showed for the meeting I called to find out that it was cancelled, but no one bothered to tell me.

I should have blown it off to be with my son rather than be a man of my word to the people running the meeting.

I went to the range yesterday with my Dad and two buddies and was amazed that we had it to ourselves from 9-11. Even then only two more guys showed up. We left at noon. I figured that it would be packed being the first pretty weekend.

Dang Steve...sounds like you coulda used some .308 stress therapy...sorry man. I hate it when stuff gets canceled and I'm the last one to find out

Green River Gun Club in Bowling Green. I dont know if they are still taking members or not. We have been members there for 3-4 years now.
