These have been in the works for a long time. I have yet to see one anywhere. I will probably try one becasue I loved the taurus 905 9mm moon clip revolver. I just hated the moon clips.

maybe time to start looking again....

Wow, that's pretty interesting. I wonder what the quality of it will be. I've never owned a Charter, but the ones I've handled in gun shops seem clunky and the parts seem to fit poorly together.

I have to agree with that. A friend of mine bought a new Charter Arms .357 and it was a pig in everyway. He traded it after the second trip to the range, and I mean before we left the range.

A customer of mine asked me to clean her .38 cause she knows I'm into guns and it was a Charter Arms. Fit and finish were terrible and the parts quality didn't impress me.

All that said I like idea behind that gun.

I love my Taurus 905 9mm, I even like to moon clips (except for the part about finding them.) They are actually are 10 times better than speed loaders "if" they are already loaded.

Ruger's been making .45ACP and 9mm revolvers for a long time!

actually been looking for a J-frame size DA not a SA cowboy gun.

I knew about the blackhawks w/ convertible cylinders, but thanks for the heads up. I still think they are an excellent SHTF-TEOTWAWKI weapon when ammo has to be scrounged for you might not be able to clean your guns as much as you should.

FYI,

I called Charter Arms Wednesday, they said they are getting really close but would not give me a ship date for the .40 cal. He said they have produced a batch but have not been given the ok to ship to dealers. According to him they have been totally reliable in all the test they have done. I'm just passing the update on. I already know I'm going to buy one of the 9mm/.380 versions, it is a very cool concept without the moon clips.

I've got the .44 special version with the factory CT lasergrips. It's not nearly the quality of a S&W...but, It's not nearly the cost of one either.

I have had good success with Charter Arms products...wife has an Off Duty .38 spcl. in her desk as we speak, and it's been good to go from day one.

This is my second Bulldog and they have both been good revolvers for me. FWIW.
