I have a Browning Hi-Power .40 cal , I was wondering if anyone makes a hi cap magazine . I have found 17 round mag for the 9mm but can't find anything for the .40 . A dealer at a gun show said he had some 12 round but was sold out. I have look on-line and can not find anything. Any help would appreciated

I dunno, i think quality is iffy on most anything not factory. I tell you, mecgar 9mm hi-power mags are great though. They are as good as, and/or might actually be what browning is shipping with the pistols since like mid-90's. FN surplus mags are good as well, but i dunno if you can find any in .40...or if the mecgar .40's are as good as the 9mm's.

Nice! thanks Mugster!

Having a BHP MkIII, I have 6 magazines and 2 carriers..I can carry 4 mags + the one in my pistol, with an extra mag for backup if one wears out.

all of mine are 13 round mags though as this is a 9mm.

How do you like that .40 cal browning? I've been thinking about getting one, as well as one of the south american p95s' that I've seen on the market.

I have a browning 9mm as well, the standard model. Had it since 1988. They changed the sights on them at some point, I notice.

Hi-power's are so uncommon, we have to stick together :koolaid:

This guy has a pretty good web page for all things BAP:

I like the .40 very well, mine has the ambidextrous safety . I have had it about 10 yrs and I have sent many rounds through it . The reason I would like to find some high cap. mag ( if they make them) is I am thinking of useing it in some local shooting matches. I have several 10 rounds , but a couple 12+ rounds would be nice. The only 2 things I don't like they are so few and far between and my rear sights are the dovetail kind with no adjustment for elevation.
