HGR Firearms announces a special weekday TN Carry Permit / NRA Pistol I class in Sumner County, Thursday December 13, 2007, 8:30am.

This class already has sufficient students to guarantee that it runs, so we will be there, ready to shoot and learn at 830am 12/13.

This class is unlike most carry permit classes taught in the Nashville area as it combines all requirements of the TN Handgun Carry Permit Course with the NRA Pistol I course. This course is therefore MORE comprehensive than your typical carry class, as the NRA Pistol I course covers more ground than is required by the TN Carry Permit class. (For example, you will handle and shoot a variety of types of handguns.)

Your instructor will be HGR owner Greg Knox. Greg brings the following to the table:

-Over 20 years weapons training experience

-Former US Army Special Forces (Green Beret)

-Former Deputy Sheriff and SWAT team member

-NRA Training Counselor

-Has trained with the best, including Jeff Cooper

HGR uses an Assistant Instructor in each course to maximize student/instructor contact. I'll be assisting Greg in this course.

NRA Pistol I is a pre-requisite for most advanced NRA courses, including the personal protection series.

Course Details:

830am-finish (likely 530pm)

Cost: $150.00

Locations: Ashenbrenner's Pawn & Gun (indoor range), Gallatin, TN.

Bring your intended carry handgun & 50 rounds of factory ammunition.

Bring eye/ear protection, or we can let you borrow ours.

Cost includes all materials, range fee, and ammo for all other handguns you will shoot.

This is a co-ed class geared toward the beginner.

To sign up or for more information, call HGR at 615-364-4359.

Thanks!

The HGR Firearms Instruction website is very nicely done, and you offer great classes. I wish you were located in Chattanooga. I've put a link to you on one of my web pages:

This is a good class, folks... my wife took it a few months ago. It is far more than just a regular permit class.

Just watch out for Len, though... he'll try to convince you that a Glock is Double-Action Only
