Man I love the look of those. I even thought about selling the LCP to put towards the 238, but after reading all the hit or miss reliability threads I'm questioning it as a carry gun. Seeing that I've had zero malfunctions in my LCP doesn't help either. Let us know how yours performs!

btw bought some blazer from ammunition to go for $16 a box, think thats a good price but their shipping sux! One cosmetic flaw that I've seen on mine, but i'm ocd and worry about stuff like that. I'm actually too ashamed to try to take a pic of it. I will say one thing, the thin piece of metal on the beaver tail that the hammer sits on (internal part of the safety is underneath it) is extremely thin. I imagine that where it stops (closest to the slide) it should be straight across but mine has a dam gouge in it.

*changed my mind, I will post pics of it so you guys can poke fun at me.

dealer through gunbroker... didn't even notice it until I took it apart and put it back together at home. What does a normal one that isn't fubared look like? I wondered if more of it was actually broken off or if it was just that one indent close to the center.

first picture is of the 2 magazines so you can see the difference. The one on the LEFT is the OLD one. It does not work. Notice how much taller it is and a different shape. sorry about the poor quality, i don't have a great camera.

I can't tell a difference in my mags follower and the one on the left in your picture... hope it works. My manufactured date was 1/29/2010. I see that you can see the internal part of that safety when its off which makes me feel a bit better.

Hopefully when I find ammo it won't give me any troubles...

Nice! I have one, and although I haven't put huge amounts of ammo through it yet (probably 200 rounds) mine has been flawless.

Lately I've been able to find some ammo occasionally - being unemployed means you can hit Wal-Mart early and often. Sure feels good to find a box or two for $16 once in a while.

I love mine (250 rounds so far). I did buy some of the Colt Mags from midway ($18/ea). They have the larger "humped" follower that causes the last casing to not eject (it easy to see how it gets hung up). I did two full mags like this and put it away. The factory Sig mag is the one that I put 250 rounds through (100% reliable). In that it's only the last casing it was "worth" the $18 but I'd never let the old Colt mag find its way into the gun for a night on the town.

hopefully my mag will work, the guy at sig wanted pics of that beavertail and told me to send it in for warranty work, guess they'll give me a whole new frame dunno?

you're one step ahead of me. I can't even get a hold on anyone at their customer service.

Well, I was on hold for about 30 minutes but I read on here somewhere that it is better to stay on hold than to leave a message for callback cause they never call back. He told me to email him a pic, I sent three, he emailed me back saying it would be covered under warranty work and asked for my address.

So you are sure you had the defective mag? I finally got through today and the guy was great, he is sending me a new mag with no questions asked. I was expecting to have to send pictures like you did but I guess I got lucky.

The warranty work was about the comsmetics, the chip in the beavertail.

  • 3 weeks later...

looks like I will have new pics up soon...I was expecting the healthy return of my sig this week or next but had no idea what they would do. New frame, try to fix it somehow and refinish (didn't think so). Nope, they e-mailed me yesterday asking where to send my entirely new gun to!
