I'm looking for a real good quality IWB holster for my Kimber Ultra CDP. I know lots of folks love the Milt Sparks but I was wondering if they are really worth the wait or is another brand as good?

Thanks

I've got a Galco Royal Guard (horsehide) that I've had for 12+ years.

My only complaint is the lack of a sweat shield on the body side.

You can get a Milt Sparks from Midway in about 2 days. I have one for my 5"ers. Works great but that extra 2" & 15oz. makes it not that comfortable for all day IWB carry.

Yeah ??

Brownell's carries the Summer Special, which they have in stock sometimes. The SS is decent but no where close to the Versa Max.

And yes Sparks makes a fantastic holster as do several other makers. Most of them require a wait to get them as they are small shops and they are very good. Good ones last and are superior in numerous ways. So yes they are worth the money.

I don’t know. I don’t keep guns long enough to get a holster from them. :D

I got my Milt Sparks when I purchased my used Ultra Carry II. I love the thing. It is by far the most comfortable IWB holster I own.

I've got the VM-2, a Monitaur Comptac, and Stellar Riggs. Is the VM-2 comfortable, YES. Would I buy another, only if I get another high priced weapon and wanted the assesories to match quality/price of said weapon. Maybe it's just me, but a nice 1911 deserves a nice all leather holster.....

Duh!

I meant Brownells has Milt Sparks.

Well, has one model holster for 1911's and Glocks right now.

It's hell to get old.

Few saving graces, that's for sure.

I'm not sure I'm but ever so slightly wiser.

I love my VMII... holds a Sig.

If you're in a hurry and don't mind spending the money, check ebay. There are several 1911 VMII's on there.

I really want one but not so bad that I will pay over $200 for a $125 holster. I have one on order from one of their dealers who say I will get it by April.

Trust me, it is well worth the wait. I waited nearly a year due to backorders for my 2nd one you will love it but if not, I will gladly buy it from you so keep that in mind :D
