Lets say someone was to inherit a sawnoff . :shhh: Would they need to go to hero gear and start the paper work , keep there mouth shut , or just hope they never get caught . in put please

If it is already registered on a Form 4, then it can be transferred to an heir via a Form 5.

If it is not currently registered, well........then.........you're SOL.

Just don't post pictures of it tomorrow (sans barrel) like some moron did last year, a day after posting the same question you did. :-\

I think you should have actually called Joe instead of posting it somewhere that I am sure is monitored by state officials.

If you are in possession of a shotgun with a barrel under 18 inches or a rifle with a barrel under 16 inches it is contraband. You can do a form 1 and convert either to a SBR or SBS. But you CANNOT already have the barrel in your possession until you get your paperwork back. Take you own advice and seek help from a pro (Joe).
