Somehow found TGO through facebook, glad I did. Greetings from Chris in the boro.

I have been around guns all my life, learned to shoot rifles and shotguns on my family farm in Louisiana. My father hates handguns so naturally I did not get my first until 1995 or so while in college. That was a Glock 27 that I still have. Still learning how to be a better pistol shot but I can hit a dinner plate on the broad side of a barn, I guess that is a start. Just a few more guns I want to buy before the little one comes in a few months, I have all the usual suspects and prefer high value over "gee wiz tacticool custom." My rock island goes boom just fine, would rather have 7 of them instead of one Wilson. No quad rails, lasers or dots in my safe. Would prefer to spend the money on ammo and practice. I am always looking for a good deal and can't bring myself to sell anything once I have it. Usually I get everything from Phil at Bellshire unless my family gets me gift cards from Academy.

I really don't like the shooting range, just too boring. I mainly use it to verify function. Current HCP holder and member at on target. I grew up shooting snakes and nutria plus hunting everything from ducks/geese to deer. Really intrested in IPSC, I might try the next match just need to know exactly what to purchase. I have plenty of handguns but I don't think I have the right holster, etc. Extra mag is usually in a pocket or console.

My family is looking for some land up here and I would like to duck hunt here next season, so far only hunted deer here in TN. Back in Louisiana WMA's were a no-no, they still make me nervous but perhaps someone could give me the scoop on them up here.

I am looking forward to learning more about IPSC...happy to be here.

Well Welcome to TGO !!!

I've not been here long myself, but I have found a very good bunch of folks.

They LOVE to debate they do:) But they do so in a very polite and respectful manner.

They prove everyday that Gun Owners are polite, respectful and just overall good folks.

I believe a Glock 19 is a requirement, but they are very lenient in the time frame to obtain one.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.....

I have plenty of tupperware but none in 9mm. Hope they don't mind a 23. I am sick of paying 2x for .40 and .45, perhaps it is time for that 19 or 92FS I always wanted...this never ends:D
