Who has one? Are they worth that $2,995 retail price?

My Pop bought an AR10T and sent it to Armalite to get the PRS stock, quad-rail forend, and bipod. He spent considerably less than $3000 (before the optic), and the only thing a true Super SASS has that his doesn't is the adjustable gas system (he won't be getting a suppressor anytime soon). Your call.

Is it (his), truly MOA accurate?

I believe Reloaders Bench in Mt Juliet has a slightly used one for less than that.

They also have one of the new LWRC REPRs for you to drool over.

I had a SASS...loved everything about it except the weight. Hell I'm not sure but the SASS @ Reloaders might be my old one.

I'm still upset about not getting it from you when I had the chance...

I thought you had one?

Joe had it first. Then I had it. Then Joe had it and now I have it. Each time we add our own personal touches and modifications. It is currently morphing to Dark Earth...

We may continue doing this for years. At the rate we are going the round count could break 1,000 sometime around 2025. The cost of ownership will be then in the neighborhood of $4.78 per round, exclusive of ammo cost and not adjusted for inflation.

im so confused....lol....why did you post has anyone shot one and are they worth it lol?

Magic, well, they are on back order at Armalite and it may be years before anyone gets a new one. I understand the Canadian Military Contract has them booked to 2013.

Besides me and Joe, no one has probably shot one and they are quite probably not worth it, if you consider the cost of ownership vs round count...

And I just thought it would be an interesting thread... Hatmaker should have broken this evil cycle when he had the chance, but he bought my 1911 instead...

It actually uses the SR-25/M110 mags. They look like AR-10 mags, but they're slimmer.

Wish we had a SASS and an OBR together at the range to compare.

That'd be a fun day at the range! :poop:
