Larry's has a lot to offer. Their prices are very good, and usually can't be beat. Tons of ammo as well. Only drawback for me is that there are lots of folks in there all the time and it gets a little crowded. Fun store though. Ohh..and you get a free range pass when you buy.

Been by there a couple of times. It's usually a busy place and they have always been friendly and helpful.

They also have a nice looking indoor range with rentals. Haven't tried it out yet but here's a link for range info since it's not on the linked page JeffsSig posted.

Ive been going to Larry's since about 1979. I was in there about 3 weeks ago, on the shooting range, which is awesome. I have YET to find a better gunshop anywhere. His prices are very hard to beat, plus he has a huge selection on hand. They are busy from Monday morning to Saturday evening. thats the only drawback to the place, its hard getting in and out. Last month I priced a Ruger SP101 3" from him, Hero Gear, and Outpost Armory. Larry's was $150 CHEAPER than Hero Gear, and $50 cheaper than Outpost. Ive bought many guns there and thousands and thousands of rounds of ammo over the years. If your in Huntsville I recommend them highly.

How does that work being out of state? Wouldn't the transfer fees make up the savings.

I don't think there is a transfer fee but not sure. I know I bought a Sig 556 at Woods n Water down in Tuscaloosa with my Tn license and didn't pay a fee (in 2006).

You can buy long guns but I think pistols would have to be transfered to a local FFL.

On handgun purchases, Larry brings them all up to Fayetteville on every Tuesday to Ashby Hardware on the Fayetteville square. He and Mr. Ashby chew the fat awhile. Theyve been doing this for 30+ years Larry told me. There is no transfer fee. Ashby charges $10 for the "the call", and thats it. Now, if you lived way off, and used a different FFL, I imagine there would be a fee.

Again, I really like this place, check it out if you get a chance. Some of these TN dealers could take a lesson in price, and how to act.
