Charlie Rangel was found to have broken House rules by the ethics committee today. Figured I'd share the good news.

I guess all the money he gave to the ethics committee members didn't pay off. So much for Charlie's Angels.

He's teflon, this will completely bounce off so long as "the one" is in control. I mean, come on, he's out and out bribed democrats not to run against other democrats with plum jobs. This is not hidden, it's an actionable (at least abuse of power, if not treason) charge, but everyone looks the other way...

This IS a step though..it's the first time the Ethics Committee has gone after a Democrat in recent memory...if I remember correctly I think Rangel even initiated the probe because he was tired of "speculation" that there was impropriety. I knew it wouldn't be that well covered, but that there would be people here happy to hear it.

Oh, I didn't hear that. Today? With the chairman of the appropriations committee committing tax fraud maybe he will finally be censored or expelled. He's been a drag on the system for far too long. Dodd is retiring so he won't get dragged in front

of a Republican senate hearing. The fun might be beginning. I'm

not holding my breath, though.

I agree. Charlies not going anywhere unless the Republicans win the house or he dies.
