Anyone have the Magpul ACS collapsable stock on their AR? My LWRC came with the MOE and it seems like the rifle comes up to my face in the same position each time. I tried a complete lower with a similar stock at a recent gun show and it felt much better. Any ideas?

I definately prefer the looks of the ACS over the MOE, and they both feel similar to me when I've handled AR's at local shops w/ those stocks attached.

Have you looked at Vltor's stocks; particularly the ModStock? I'm a big fan of those...

I'm a fan of the ACS, too. I think that the storage tube results in a little better and more consistent cheek weld for me.

Make sure you order for the correct buffer tube if you do get one.

I have one. I currently own Vltor and CTR stocks also. The ACS gives me the cheek weld of the Vltor and the locking capability I like on the CTR. Best of both worlds.

I like mine. Wish I could get another.

Thanks guys. This was the input I was looking for. I knew that stock felt much better than my current MOE and a friend's CTR.

I have one and am very pleased with it. I'd buy another.

Just took mine out today on the 15-22. I love the cheek weld and made use of the storage tubes by putting a couple of extra CR2 batteries for my red dot. I'm anxiously awaiting the version that fits a commercial stock so I can put one on my Bushmaster.

Do the batteries rattle?

How do you keep the batteries seperated in the tube so they don't make contact...or is that much ado about nothing.

I put one battery in each tube and stuffed a bore cleaning patch around it. They don't move but a quick buttstroke will get the battery loose. I could have just bought more batteries and put them in one tube but they're expensive!

ETA: I tried it with 3 CR123a batteries and stuffed a cleaning patch in behind them and they don't rattle. The CR2 batteries I use for my Strikefire are a little shorter and I only bought 2.
