Anyone know what limitations are in place at Top Brass's range in Millington? Is it pistol only or can one shoot center-fire rifles as well?

I think every range should allow rifles with frangibles. I just don't know they can monitor and control it. When they figure that out, they'll be able to profit on the only allowed ammo. I just guessing/hoping aloud here.

I believe they only allow pistol and rimfire ammo. I have shot my 15-22 out there a couple of times. Criss is a decent guy. The young guy ( I don't know his name can be a little short sometimes), and the the range is not well lit. What I like about the place is during the week it's almost like having your own private range. Nobody is there on weekdays. I guess they do alot of training on the weekends.

No rifles at Top Brass. Sportsmans Choice in Brighton which used to be Brighton Arms will allow rifles up to 3600fps, as long as it isn't steel core ammo. If you go out there give me a shout on here to let me know when, I'd like to meet some fellow TGOers.

Oh, nice I had no idea someone had reopened Brighton Arms. Once I get my AR upper back from the smith, I'll contact you when I go up there to site in the new (to me ) Eotech...

Man, I wish that you could see the smile on my face. Tell me you are not kidding. Someone reopened Brighton Arms? Do you have a contact number for them? That was the only place I could shoot my AR without having to deal with the weekend crowds at Range USA.

Cool, I was appraising some property near the old Brighton Arms just after they closed. I posted pics here, it was like they were working one day, closed up to go home for the day and didn't come back, everything was there. Very nice facility.

I bought my gun belt from Top Brass. Dark, lots of stuff crammed in, kinda dusty, very nice people working there. I was a newbie, just got my permit, and they were very helpful. Unfortunately, I don't go up there that much, but I would stop by again.

I got my permit at Top Brass 11 years ago. I don't get out that way much, but I enjoy going there. The building is a little scary, but it kinda reminds me of my house when the wife goes out of town for a week. The staff is about the nicest you will find anywhere. They have traded me even on magazines and holsters before, you won't find that many places.

If I can't shoot this weekend I might try to go up there and shoot next week. I'll send you a line if I do.

Sportsmans Choice, yikes! You don't want to take your child to shoot there with you unless you want to get rid of them. Read what it says in the range fees!

SportsMan's Choice

I know, it's a typo but it is funny!

There have been times that would have seemed like a $5 well spent...

I shoot at Top Brass almost every weekend. Its only 10 minutes from my house. $10 per DAY to shoot, you can leave for lunch and come back and they dont charge you again. Sportsman's Choice is just down the road the other direction. If you guys pick a day to meet up there let me know. I would like to meet a couple of the members.

I never had that experience at Brighton Arms. The people there always made me feel welcome and the prices were always good.
