Levi's anti-gun

Found this on another site. First I've heard of it.

Here's a company that's not innocent--in fact, they are willful leading collaborators in the global citizen disarmament movement: "American icon," Levi Strauss.

Some of us have been waving that denim flag for years--here's an early warning from Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership:

Levi Strauss, the makers of the jeans we are so fond of buying, is taking your money and contributing heavily to PAX. PAX is an organization circulating a petition to broaden the reach of the federal government to disarm America.

And here's a letter from our friends at Montana Shooting Sports Association:

That you would so clearly favor the criminal class is a mystery to me, but until you recant your uncivilized ways, I will have to recommend that Montana gun owners and members of the Montana Shooting Sports Association to no longer buy your products. After a lifetime of wearing Levi's, I'm switching to something else.

OK, but that was years ago. Perhaps public pressure has made them see the light? After all, they're airing a commercial with a Walt Whitman poem narration:

Pioneers! O Pioneers!

COME, my tan-faced children,

Follow well in order, get your weapons ready;

Have you your pistols? Have you your sharp edged axes? Pioneers! O pioneers!

Inspiring words paying tribute to the American spirit, paradoxically written by a poet who socialists consider an icon, then cynically and commercially exploited here by social engineering globalist profiteers using a beautifully read voice-over by a communist actor.

Ah well--back to the point: Where does Levis Strauss & Co. stand today on your right to keep and bear arms?

Reader "Barney B" sent me copies of his email correspondence with the clothing giant. I'll give you the CliffsNotes version, from their corporate "consumer relations" reply:

Levi Strauss & Co. believes deeply in the importance of equality, social justice, community involvement and corporate citizenship.

Here's one of the ways they manifest their deep beliefs:

In this time of need, we encourage you to give what you can at Working together to end poverty and injustice — Oxfam America.

OXFAM? Where have I heard about them before?

Oh, yeah--they're the international citizen disarmament zealots who are conjoined with IANSA to stump for a global gun grab.

Yes-sir-ree...after reading their web site, I'm officially done with Levi Strauss products!

Thanks fivestring, for the heads up.

I'll be emailing Levi Strauss directly.

Yes Levi Strauss has a long history of being anti-gun, and supporting other lib causes. I refuse to buy any of their products.

Levi has been anti-gun for many years and is an active, big-money supporter of anti-gun organizations.

It annoys me because, although I rarely wear jeans, I like theirs.

EDIT: Warbird got me by 2 min! :poop:

I had no idea, well time to find me a new company to buy my jeans from, I have been wearing 501's for well over 20 years, this may be tough :poop:

After years of wearing Levi's, I had finally given up on their product 4 or 5 years ago, mainly because of my frustration with their extreme drop-off in the ability to manufacture a quality product.

This info concerning Levi's anti-gun practices just reinforces my dislike of their company.

Just last year, a friend (retired LEO) recommended that I try 5.11 jeans. I've now purchased a few pair, and have found a well-constructed item that fits me better than Levi's ever did. Very well made, and LA police gear currently has a great closeout price on these (under $20 per pair).

I need help!!! I hate Lee jeans, and Wranglers what else is there that are as comfortable as the 501's? I refuse to support Levi Strauss after hearing this so what is the best alternative for around $50.00 a pair?

My feelings exactly. Every word you said.

I may continue to buy all brands at the thrift store for $4 a pair, but the pickins' do get slim.

Thank You, I am ordering some!!!

Do note, they offer odd sizes. You don't have to size your jeans in 2" increments, you can get the size that actually fits. That's why I originally bought a pair. Since then, I've been very happy. One pair of Gusset jeans has outlasted several pairs of Wranglers.

I too wear Diamond Gussett jeans. They are very comfortable and fit well. They so far have out lasted any denim jean I have worn. I recommend them to ya'll.

Dang Levi is the only jeans I own, oh well I've been wanting to try a different style anyways think I'll try some American Eagle.

I haven't bought Levi's in a long time. I always thought they were overpriced. I can get Lee or Wrangler for under $20, Levi's are usually double that. Now I've got another reason to dislike them.
