Nope, not associated. Just ran across them from a posting on ammoland

Looks like darn fine gun, and from it being made in TN thats a plus too. On the website you can order direct. I guess you just need a good dealer to ship it too. I think I'm going to look into the stinger. I'd love to feel the weight. I love the 1911 Commander, but sometimes the bulk can be an issue.

We all have our opinions right, that slide stop/release is hidious, having it

extended back is one thing, grossly overhanging the grip is another.

As for the Stinger I wonder if they are going to have issues with copyright

since Les Baer has a Stinger line. Also not fond of their design concept.

I've always thought the full sized grip caused concealment issues not barrel length.

I would much rather see a shortened grip with a 4 or 4.25 inch barrel. If i"m going

to have full length grip I'll just carry a 5" or commander lenght like I do now.

What about $$$ what are the MSRP for these Tn guns?

I believe the MSRP's are on the website.

Scorpion: $1199

Stinger: $1499

Now does anyone know if they handle custom orders? I'll have to email and ask, as I'm in the market for one and love the local companies.

While it is great that they are made here in Tennessee, they do nothing for me, to each their own. I doubt that Les will have problem with them using the name Stinger that is unless these guns pose a competition on the same level as Les Baer and I seriously doubt they will. I am curious as to what the owners of them think as well

Seems like that slide stop would be an easy fix. I like the 9 round capacity. Can you get that with a smaller grip?

A double stack Para yes, a single stack no, you miss the point.

Shortening the grip will aid concealment, not shortening the barrel.

And if you need more that 9 in .45 there is Para and I'm sure plenty

of tactical tupperware out there that will get it done.

It looks like they are trying to design the slide stop to use your right hand thumb. They need to take the extra material on the slide stop and add it to the thumb safety so you can ride it with your thumb. Kinda bass ackward.

First impression, I agree with all of those thoughts. I'm still curious and would like to see one in person though before making any further judgments.

Dunno, something about them just doesn't do it for me. In their literature, I see they say something about "knowing what a 1911 is all about." Personally, I was always under the impression that a 1911 was about ultra-simple, ultra-reliable firepower. Seems like in the last decade or so 1911 manufacturers have been trying to change that to ultra-high-dollar, ultra-use-someone-elses-parts-and-make-it-pretty.

I'll stick to my Springers.
