I dont have a G27, but I have a very similar sized Kahr CW45 and while I was waiting on my Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB holster I did pocket carry it, but trust me you will be much happier using an actual holster for your gun, it distributes the weight much better and you will forget its there.

I've not carried my 26 that much since I've just had it for a month or so... I have an Aholster pocket holster and I can also put it in the Crossbreed Supertuck that I have for my 19. Once the weather warms, it may become my primary carry.

One thing I've noticed is that even when I'm pocket carrying a sturdy belt really makes a difference.

Crimson, that is the way I carry mine, Allen has made 5-6 pocket holsters for me. I thought I might go to side carry (cross draw) maybe... that is why I thought I would ask. Thanks

IWB in Galco Summer Comfort...the trick to comfortably carrying this way is not have the belt too tight

Posted (edited)

I got a 27 last week. I currently have an uncle mikes ankle holster, a Galco tuck n go, and I just ordered a supertuck.

I bought the 27 to be my glovebox gun but I love it so much that I've really enjoyed carrying it and rarely leave it locked in the car. My normal carry piece is a Walther PPS - essentially a single stack version of my 27. I think that I'll go back to the PPS come warmer weather but the 27 is a fine pistol with an excellent capacity in such a small package. It is one of the best shooting pistols right out of the box that I've ever owned. I think my sip of the "koolaid" has got me addicted.

I'm using a Don Hume untill I find a better holster. I also got the G27 as a backup or glove box gun, but it';s too nice a pistol to never carry it.

I know whatcha mean Tnhawk, I started out with a Sig and had a snobbish attitude about Glocks. If I'd ever told anyone what I thought, I'd be eating my words right about now. I love my lil ole 27. My Sig P239 is about the same size but only holds 8 shots. The Glock (with the pearce +2) holds 12. Its just about the perfect size and I really appreciate the expandability of the capacity with the interchangable magazines and pearce extensions.

I have always front pocket carried my G27, please show or tell me how you carry yours.

Thanks

For casual carry:

Cold weather: Front pocket of jacket or hip pocket for overalls or dungarees.

Warm weather: Hip pocket of dungarees or overalls.

Sunday go to meeting: Front pocket or flap hip pocket depending on khakis. I use good pleated khakis or cargo pocket khakis like those from Cabelas.

Hip pocket draw and jacket pocket draw is quick.

Use an Allan Miller Kydex pocket holster.

XreedX makes a good point here. I heartily agree. I use a wilderness tactical belt all the time.

One thing I've noticed is that even when I'm pocket carrying a sturdy belt really makes a difference.

Hope this helps

Kind regards,

Leroy

I carry a 26 ( same size) OWB, in a Lobo pancake, just as easy to cover as IWB and a whole lot more comfortable for me,
