EAA Witness Compact 10mm

Looking for opinions on this gun. I searched and found a few negative opinions on customer service from a year or two ago. Have they got any better? Other than limited availability, (have only found them on gunbroker) Anyone here own one? Looks like I could get one for about $150-$200 cheaper than a G29....

I've got one with about 600rds through it. Never had an issue with the pistol, so have no experience with customer service. Well-made, sturdy pistol that has been very reliable so far. OEM mags are made by Mec-Gar and are excellent. Aftermarket mags are great practice as they have FTF issues from time to time.

A nice advantage of this pistol is that you can change to .38Super, .45acp, or .22lr by getting a different top-end kit from EAA. I have .22 and .38Super kits which are great. Each caliber needs it's own mags, though. You can get OEM mags directly from EAA for $25ea.

I think it's a fine choice on a budget. There are a lot of people out there that don't know what a witness is, but I've owned several and never had a problem. They feel great in your hand points naturally. I've only owned 9's and .40's so cant say much about the 10 but I don't think you can go wrong with one.

I know it's a haul, but Hoselton's in Moore County/Tullahoma has a Witness 10MM Compact and a Full Size both in the case. Can't remember the price off-hand, though.

Hmmm.... well I'll be at C.I.S. next month and Tullahoma appears to be about an hour away from Smyrna.... But you're right, that's a haul. About 210 miles from home.

It's WAY off the beaten track, and I wouldn't know anything about Hoselton's except my brother-in-law lives 5 houses down from their shop. Makes it very easy to grab some extra ammo when we're shooting up on the hill.
