Gook luck with the PT92, its a great pistol. I purchased mine in 1990 and have enjoyed shooting it. Wish I knew how many rounds have been sent downrange with it.

Its still the same Beretta machinery. Beretta sold everything to Brazil. What am I not accurate about? Beretta never produced M9s, 92fs, or any of their similar models there as far I know but its still Beretta machinery that produces the same pistol as Beretta.

PT92's are made on the same machinery Beretta's WERE AT ONE TIME would have been more accurate and Beretta sold Taurus the machinery that they, Beretta used to produce arms for the Brazilian army. No big deal and I didn't mean to nit pick which is why I said not quite 100% accurate, thats all and I thought you might like to read the actual history. :D

Are the PT92s identical to the Berettas? Parts wise. I've always loved the M9. Not the best service weapon IMO but it's still a fantastic gun.

Damn close. I owned both at one time (sold the Beretta) and even swapped out the barrels once. Never shot them that way but they would fit in the other's slide. The biggest difference is the Taurus has a frame mounted safety/decocker and the Beretta's is on the slide.
