AK Prices?

I saw a decent looking AK in a local gun store today. Moderate use/abuse, decent wood, after-market grip and magazine, a little rust in the bore. Polish. I have no doubt I can clean it up, clean the bore and have a nice shooter.

I am new to the AK game, and am wondering what I should pay. Ticket said $470.00. Deal or no deal?

Is it a milled Polish receiver? If so I'd say that is a fair deal. I'd offer $450 and see if they take it. If its a stamped Polish with rust in the bore already I wouldn't want to give that much seeing it might have more rust to be found in the gas tube.

You can get WASR's for #379 - 399 NEW from aimsurplus.com and centerfiresystems.com

Also centerfire has special on 7.62x39 saiga's for $299, easy to convert and makes a great shooter.

Most local shop's can not beat online prices.

I do it all the time... Bud's included. :)

There ARE a few I cant, namely Sigmas atm. Man, S&W must be hemorrhaging those things.

Just seen 5.45 for 130 +14 shipping, if I were look'n at a Sagia ,it would be in 5.45, ammo has never gotten scarce and remains the cheapest . If I hadn't gotten my Romy, I would buy an AK type rifle in 5.45. Edited by Ae-35

Read my post, I never said I saw a Sagia in any cal. for 130, I said I saw 5.45 for 130. 5.45 is the cal. of ammo!!! I haven't bought any 7.62x39 lately , last I paid for a 1k rd. case was 245 + shipping. 5.45 is running a lot cheaper than even 9mm. The only ammo cheaper ( that I can find ) is 22lr. What I was trying to tell the OP was that, getting a Sagia in 5.45 is the least expensive way to go.:D
