I went to the Beamhit Instructor Course that the company put on up at Alpena ANG Training Center in MI back in 2008. We have a complete system using those that we never use because it isn't practical for what we do.

Before that we had them at my sheriff's office back in 2003-2005 when I was there, never saw it used though.

It's a decent enough system, designed to be incorporated into other systems and such, i.e. the hit detector can be placed in a target dummy/mannequin just as an example.

Biggest problem is that it is unimaginative and boring pretty quickly.

Better off getting a .22 conversion kit for your pistol.
