Any Dremel owners out there?

I have a blackhawk serpa holster and I want to cut the end off to make it easier to conceal. I read about several other people doing the same thing. Would anybody(in Knoxville) be willing to let me come over and give it a shot? I will provide a cold 6 pack of your choice:D. Thanks guys.

I did mine with a band saw - came out even and smooth. If you don't find someone with a Dremel to use, you can pick one up at Harbor Freight or a discount tool place for not much.

Hey Erik, your bound to have a hack saw, if so, using a NEW hack saw blade, carefully mark where you want to make the cut, then slowly, carefully make the desired cut.

Then "dress" the edge with some fine grit sandpaper.

Touch up the edge with a sharpie.

I used to tell guys who asked me about buying their first 1911, if they owned a Dremel, first sell it, give it away, or through it away!!! I think there's been more 1911s butchered up with a dremel than any other gun in history. ( sorry, not trying to high jack your thread)

well I don't have a 1911 and I don't know anything about a dremel. Only reason I am asking for help is because other people have used it for the same reason I need one...

I have one, but I'm up in Bristol, too. If I were you, I'd go ahead and buy one, because it can end up being some of the best money you've ever spent. They are a very handy, multi-purpose tool to have around the house, and they aren't too expensive. If you don't have the dough right now, though, I second the hacksaw idea.

High point count blade on a mitre saw does a good job as well. Jig the holster so you get a square, plumb cut, it would do fine.
