If ever out west, go out to Devil's Tower in Wyoming and stop along the road leading to the tower. There are literally thousands of these standing on two when you drive by. It's pretty funny looking! Of course you are to not feed them, but that's why they are standing there looking at you.

Farmers will pay folks to get rid of these pests out there. They are big mice. Cows get injured falling in their burrow holes. They can infest an entire farm. You can't put that many traps out so there are few options other than to shoot the little buggers.

I figured it was like those night time boar killers.

This leads me to a question that's been bugging me a few months. If they can kill hogs with nightvision, why can't they kill the Taliban like that? Now, that's a video we all need to see! Especially if it could rouse support for the war. I mean, I know that shooting hogs happens at a closer distance than our men want to get with average rifles, but the snipers go long. I just never see/hear about this happening. One can dream can't he?

The hog hunts you see on U Tube are generally authorized and funded by farmers coops in the area and have the blessing of the wildlife management of that area. There are several of them chasing hogs from helicopters as well. The thermal sight video of the hog killing may well be legal for anyone in that state.

As far as video of killing Taliban, there is lots of aerial video from apaches an such showing them taking them out, not much from the more up close and personal from a soldiers perspective, at least not released that I have seen. I know the military would not want that type of video released in most cases because of the squeamish nature most of our society exhibits now a days.

There was one video in the sniper topics on Utube that showed some long range shooting and appeared at one point to hit "something" and a piece of it flew off the mountain side it was hiding on. You can't see it clearly so it could have been almost anything.

You want to see horror and something that will get the people upset and ready to kick it into gear to finish both those war fronts, have them search and watch the dadgum IED videos! The insurgents always want video of them blowing up the hummers and other vehicles..always makes me mad as crap! Cowardly bast@rd$ ! !
