Legality of bringing friends to a range

Before I get myself in trouble, I want to double-check. I'm planning on bringing a few friends to the range with me this weekend to teach them to shoot. None have permits or weapons (we'll be sharing my weapon and I have a FL CWP).

I don't remember reading anywhere of legal issues with brining a non-licensed person to shoot at a range. Am I correct?

Thanks.

it's TN....not commi-fornia...

perfectly legal for them to shoot with you, or by themselves...only need the permit to carry.

There is no need for a license/permit to shoot at a range. Most places will go through a safety orientation for new shooters.

no problem at all. I know some in this area of the country think you are crazy for just thinking this, but the only time you need a permit or license is to carry a loaded gun in public or when transferring the gun through a dealer and then its just a background check.

There is a reason why in TN in it reasonably likely that you may find a 12-year old girl that can out shoot you with her own gun.

You don't think Annie Oakley started at 18, do you?!

Awesome! Thanks.

I carry in TN, GA (passing through), and FL. Keeping all the laws organized in my head is tough.
