A common theme among them is that they didn't consider themselves what they truly are. Great read. Thanks for posting.

The Military Channel, or History Channel, had a show about Medal of Honor recipients

a month or so back, that had the guys telling their story. They are a bunch of humble,

deserving patriots.

Very nice read... up until you read the comments below the stories and then it just turns into a blind rage for me.

I went back and checked out the comments after your post. I made it to #22 before I had to stop. My computer was in danger of getting shot if I read anymore of that nonsense.

Taffey 3. That may be the greatest, most heroic charge in history. Three destroyers and a destroyer escort attacking 27 Jap ships including the world's largest battleship, heavy cruisers and a gaggle of destroyers.

I have a book titled "Medal Of Honor, Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty"

It was published in 2003 and it has the story of every living Medal of Honor winner at the time of publishing. It also includes a then and now picture of each with each story. I have read it 3 times and it is always incredible to read the stories of these heroes. I highly recommend this book to all.

I have had the fortune to meet one MOH winner proir to his passing. It was a great experience.
