Remember this old commercial??

When I was a kid I used to love this commercial. CB radio's were big then and my CB handle was Tennessee Trash.

There's alot of people in this State that don't deserve what they have. The amount of trash on the roadsides is damn disgusting.

One of the useless facts I remember is that the actors name in the spot was Irv Cane. Funny guy. Great for that spot.

What gets me is when you catch someone littering, they will say "It's only a cigarette pack!" or something like that. Makes me mad to see people litter.

Never saw that one before, but then again I lived in Florida. My favorite was the commercial with the Indian Chief crying when people rode by dumping trash.

Yeah, I remember the original commercial from when I was a kid. Ed Bruce sang the "Tennessee Trash" song.

The car used was an old Chevy Corvair (the poor Corvair, which helped raise Ralph Nader to "prominence" {cough, cough, bulls**t, cough, cough}).

Anyone thowing out trash in general makes me boil. My parents live on a major 4 lane highway (Kingston Pike in Knoxville) and it's amazing the amount of trash we pick up out of the yard each week. One thing that really gets me is seeing someone open their car door at a traffic light and dump their ash tray.

They tried resurrecting the campaign a few years ago, Ed Bruce and all. It was a dismal failure. Guess the times aren't what they used to be.
