When I was a kid I used to love this commercial. CB radio's were big then and my CB handle was Tennessee Trash.

I remember it well and wish they'd start airing it again.

There's alot of people in this State that don't deserve what they have. The amount of trash on the roadsides is damn disgusting.

One of the useless facts I remember is that the actors name in the spot was Irv Cane. Funny guy. Great for that spot.

Never saw that one before, but then again I lived in Florida. My favorite was the commercial with the Indian Chief crying when people rode by dumping trash.

Yeah, I remember the original commercial from when I was a kid. Ed Bruce sang the "Tennessee Trash" song.

The car used was an old Chevy Corvair (the poor Corvair, which helped raise Ralph Nader to "prominence" {cough, cough, bulls**t, cough, cough}). :)

My Grandfather's handle was "Blacktop" he worked for Vulcan. One of the other guy's that worked with him was "Smoke".

Anyone thowing out trash in general makes me boil. My parents live on a major 4 lane highway (Kingston Pike in Knoxville) and it's amazing the amount of trash we pick up out of the yard each week. One thing that really gets me is seeing someone open their car door at a traffic light and dump their ash tray. :bat:

They tried resurrecting the campaign a few years ago, Ed Bruce and all. It was a dismal failure. Guess the times aren't what they used to be.

Yep, that's old "Iron Eyes Cody".

He wasn't an Indian - both parents were Sicilian.
