Good solid guns. But there's LOTS on the market, both new and used. So make sure your getting a good deal on it.

Is it the one on MRS? If so, its not a bad deal. Great gun. Have you handled them though? If you have smaller hands, the grip can feel kinda big.

I have the XDM40. Since I had G&L put the Trijicon sights on it, I have fallen in love with it all over again. It's a nice gun, shoots straight, and with a decent IWB holster can even be your EDC. Since I have switched to IWB, I have stopped carrying my wife's XD9SC. If you can get a good price on it, I'd say go for it.

I have an xdm 40 as well. I love this gun. It shoots amazing. If its a good deal, then get it. You won't be disappointed.

Same here except that I've only had mine for a couple of years. Mine, too is the XD40c and it is a great gun. I would expect the same to be true for the XDM.

I had one... very nice shooter, just too big for EDC in my book, so I sold it.

my only gripe about the gun was mag fit. a fully loaded mag is really tight to load/drop from the gun. not necessarily a "deal breaker", but I didn't care for it...

if it's a decent price, I say go for it...don't think you'd be disappointed with the gun. FWIW, I'm one my 3rd XD now...(an XD9sc) and have never experienced a malfunction/problem of any kind with any of my XD's. as mentioned, my only complaint is the mag fit issue.

The XDM 40 is excellent. It's a service size pistol, and the handle seems kinda long to me...but it does have interchangeable backstraps to better fit the grip to your hand.

I didn't get mine for EDC...it's for home defense duty and range fun...very accurate.

It is the pinnacle of polymer handgun design.

Yup, thats the one I am talking about.

I am still on the hunt for a gun, and 500 is in my price range.

question: what is MRS?

another forum we belong to.

My experience with the XDm-40 was bad. Broke the trigger bar then the safety all in less than 4,000 rounds.

Then got a XD-40 and it would lock the slide back with a half full mag, used 4 different mags and it did it on all.

SA customer service was very good.

Accurate gun but I could not trust them.
