New Airport Screening

From what I can understand, the new machines that security is going to use, allows them to random swab a person to check for minute explosive residue.

Causes me to wonder if you were at the range, or reloading just prior to going to the airport, how much trouble that could cause.

It won't pick up gun powder residue.

Not true. I got 'alerted on' in Dayton, OH with the swab. I had cased my uncleaned guns that morning, and there was enough residue that a swab on my hands picked it up. I merely pointed to my cased firearms next to me waiting to be checked in, and that was it.

BTW, Dayton, OH airport has the best TSA in the country. I used to travel a LOT, and they were always professional, courteous, and efficient. Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit tie for worst.
