Is there a way to disable the mag safety on the M&P's? I have found a good deal on a NIB 9c, but it has mag safety, which I'd rather not have. Is there any disadvantage in disabling over one having one w/o new from factory?

Yes, it's easy. Do a search over at mp-pistol.com and you'll find all the info you'll need, takes only a few minutes and is 100% reversable if you ever need to put back in.

FWIW, this is one of two things that Mas Ayoob suggests not doing to a carry gun (the other is to significantly lighten the trigger -- a trigger job to smooth things out is fine). He's seen it come up in court. His suggestion is to buy one from the factory without the safety if you don't want it. I carry an MP9c that came from the factory without the mag or external safety.

Thanks for the info...I hate that damn mag safety.
