Kahr CW9 ro SIG P239.....a surprise!

No....not what you think. I already own both and love them both. I carry the CW9 because it is 11 oz lighter

Recently I had the chance to let two total novice shooters try both guns with the same 115 gr ammo. One shooter was my wife. These two events happened on different ranges on different days.

After shooting both pistols I asked both shooters which they preferred. I truly expected them to choose the 239 because it is 11 oz heavier and recoils a bit less.

I was very surprised when both new shooters preferred the CW9 over the SIG! Both felt the could shoot it better. I think that is a great recommendation.

Thanks for the post. I have been considering a small 9MM. On paper I have pretty much settled on the Kahr and was trying to decide between the CW9 & PM9. I'd about chosen the CW9 even though it's a little bit bigger but it costs quite a bit less. I heard recently that a PM9 is now available with an external and that might be worth the extra cost.

I just picked up a CW9 Saturday nite. Of all the mini-9's out there, it felt the best in my hand, and no pinkie float. Can't wait to see what it does.

I would have guessed the P239. I have shot them both and not that the Kahr was bad but I just preferred the Sig. It's all about personal preferences.
