Anyone else freeze their nads off yesterday and come home with no meat?

I saw around 12 deer, all does in 2 groups of 5 or 6, passed on 2 shots. I got a doe tag but both shots were back towards the road...and when I moved around trying to get behind them, they hauled. One thing that was interesting is this guy keeps horses, and they went nuts when the deer were hopping over the fence. I've never heard a horse make noises like that.

The places I hunt are mostly owned by baptists, and they don't allow hunting on Sunday or I would have been back out this morning freezing again. :D

Nothing at all. Methodist here, although I haven't found a church I like around here since I moved in.

We can hunt and shoot on Sunday's AND drink beer in moderation :D

I hunted yesterday morning and got a small 4 point. He was chasing a couple of girls that were moving too fast for me to get a shot at but I grunted at him and he stopped, that was a fatal mistake because I was looking at him through the scope while trying to stop him. Dropped him in his tracks...

I saw about a half-dozen trailers and trucks with tagged little hooves hanging out on the way back from Nashville yesterday. Saw a lot of mud covered trucks and trailers full of ATV's without any sign of a successful hunt too!

Thanks! I am pretty deadly with a rifle and a scope, the handgun is another thing though...

Handgunning is an endless pit into which you throw money and time. Bass boats might be worse, but i doubt it.

Took the youngest out Saturday morning. Thermometer in Wayne Co said 24 degrees. He last an hour and 15 minutes before he said his feet were numb and he couldn't breathe and not cough....work to be done....work to be done.

Heck, its not deer hunting if your comfortable!

Thats awesome :D

None here yet, but i've only hunted 2 mornings and one evening. I just won't have alot of time until the second season starts. I did hear what i think might be a really big buck yesterday, but i didn't get a look at him.
