I feel like a kid at Christmas time again! I bought my 2nd XD, the XD40 subcompact Friday, it won't be in until Tuesday or possibly Wednesday, the wait is killing me!

We used to have to wait in Alabama. I always had my guns on layaway anyhow so the waiting period wasn't a factor. Congrats on the XD. I know what you mean on the wait. I got my G26 today that I ordered on Monday. It beat the holster getting here through the mail and the gun came from WI, but the holster shipped from right here in TN. I don't get it.

The first time I bought a handgun in TN I was almost dumbfounded when they handed it to me. I thought there was a waiting period. Was a great feeling walking out the door with it.

That gun ought be fun to shoot.

I remember the 3 day waiting period in Tn. Yeah, I'm old ...and I can still hit what I point my finger at! Congrats on the XDc, those little ones are impressive.

Thats a bummer,, when I buy something I want it now,, I guess I'm lucky. I didn't start buying guns till I moved to Tn. so I never had to wait around to get my guns.

A guy I work with is a gun dealer, so he can save me about 100 bucks compared to the stores, well worth a few agonizing days I guess!

You guessed it. Some of the "blue" states laws. Call it a cool down period. Just in case some raving lunatic felt like going through the legal process of buying a gun to commit a crime.
