another thing that is happening alot but not always is a company stops producing a item in the us and then goes to china, but we the consumer won't get a price reduction. instead the owners are getting much higher profit margins at the expense of destroying our country. if this doesn't stop america will continue to get self destroyed by it's citizens in a sense.

Oh horse pucky.

I carry a multi-tool I got when I first joined NRA. Yep, it's made in China.

Carry a gun made in Croatia.

Budweiser and Miller aren't even American owned.

Pick battles that could mean something.

I see you're not a NRA member. I guess it's because they give out Chinese hats? You don't contribute to TGO either, though, so I guess that's just the way you roll.

Oh yeah, throw away that 'puter you're using.

Oh, now I'm pissed!

Gonna have to head to WalMart now to find a new beer.

Will report back...

I respect your support of the NRA and this site very much, but I don't see your thoughts on "Poo on buy American, your an idiot for even trying".

It's harder and harder every year to find American products to buy but I personally sure try. (Ok I'm crazy for Glocks so sue me.)

I could be wrong but I see the US economy like a house hold. If we have a trade deficit that means more money is going out than in. How long that can last I have no idea, but there will be a point (I think we have reached that point).

If anyone in a personal house hold expense or a business were to spend 5 to 7% (I think that is currently what it is) more than they make each month how long before the SHTF?

And factories aren't just closing because of unions and there is more involved than simply labor costs. Taxes, insurance, land costs, up keep on the plant. Plus a lot of American plants were wore to the bone 30 years ago and outdated.

A lot of the Chinese plants and facilities are new, modern and more productive. Given a like facility American workers have proven they can turn the work out and keep quality up.

Sorry to go on and on but buying American when possible means something to me as does supporting the 2nd and rights in general.

However, I see that their Chinese hats did not dissuade you from the the greater good of being an NRA member. I believe that was my extended point as far as that detail.

Also, let's not forget that many Americans work for Budweiser and Miller.

And foreign car companies built in USA.

And in all the stores and their supply chains that sell foreign made items, or assemble them, or service them.

Ad infinitum.

It ain't our grandaddy's economy anymore, like it or not.

I just rejoined (since my last post, something I have been meaning to do) the NRA, I had let i lapse 100% and solely because the junk mail from them was driving me INSANE! But I called and rejoined and they put me on their "Do not promote list" which is suppose to cut down 2/3's on the mailings. I get a free duffle bad (wonder where it's made)

Yeah I agree that many foreign companies produce here and many American comapnies don't. I support the companies that produce over here.

Economy heck it ain't grandaddys world anymore. I sure wish it was.

Hey, little boy! Wanna buy some tiyas?

Over 90% of the tires Cooper sells to our market are American made. Most Goodyear tires are made in America as well. As I was waiting to have new set of American-made Cooper tires put on my Lincoln Town Car at my local tire store, I looked through at all the Goodyear tires they had in stock and the foreign-made ones were not easy to find. You can buy foreign-owned brands like Michelin that are made in the USA, but why buy an American-made tire from a foreign company when you can buy an American-made tire from an American company? <TABLE border=1 cellSpacing=0 borderColor=#000033 cellPadding=2 width="65%" bgColor=#ffffff align=center><THEAD><TR><TH bgColor=#ffcc00 borderColor=#000000>Brand Name</TH><TH bgColor=#ffcc00 borderColor=#000000 width=120>Nationality</TH></TR></THEAD><TBODY><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Cooper</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>American</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Goodyear</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>American</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Kelly Springfield</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>American</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>BF Goodrich</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>France</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Michelin</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>France</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Firestone</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Japan</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Continental</TD><TD borderColor=#c0c0c0>Germany</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Wow! I see I struck a nerve! I didn't go on a bashing campaign against the NRA. I could have! But this ain't the tread for that.

As for as contributing goes....No, I choose not to support them. Since you looked at my info did you happen to see the Mill status. I served and supported all amendments as well as the constitution. That's how I roll! As for TGO......wait for it. And I didn't say anything about Chinese products. If I can buy American I will and do. I don't care what others do with their money as I hope you don't care about how I spend mine. Obviously the OP was bothered with his discovery. He has all rights to be.

stay away from primeweel tires that are sold by firestone and possibly other chains, theu are from china and bargain priced. but don't expect to save money buying cheap tires, cause a more expensive set tends to have better traction in braking and handling and will often save your arse when cheaper tires fail and let you get into a wreck! I have had some close calls but haveing better tires kept my cars safe many a times

This is the preferred order of purchases for American prosperity:

1. American Owned, American Made

2. American Owned, Foreign Made

3. Foreign Owned, American Made

4. Foreign Owned, Foreign Made

Thats what I think as well. Perfect order.
