Charlie Sheen and Bill Paxton at their best. I bet all SEALs play golf like asshats and do live fire exercises around civilians.

I can assure you that some SEALS do play golf like asshats, but the live fire exercises around civilians is a no go. I have a couple of friends that were technical advisors for that flick. After they finally saw the movie, they were pissed at all the stupid crap in it.

LMAO...gotta agree with you here...and TOP GUN...good entertainment, Maverick and Goose woulda been sent back to the FLEET after their first silly ass stunt though...thus endth the movie. FINAL COUNTDOWN...I know that Nimitz CLASS CVN's ride out a hurricane pretty good...but a time and space dimentional vortex?....NAH!!!! A FEW GOOD MEN...was decent too

My father-in-law gave me the collection of Victory at Sea . I love watching them.He was a WW2 vet.

My wife loves The Wackiest Ship in the Navy. It's a comedy (not a real war movie) and She's a big Ricky Nelson fan.

This is a Great WWII Destroyer Escort versus Sub movie. One of the few movies that actually uses proper Navy procedures.

As a sidenote - - - The Star Trek television episode "Balance of Terror" was based almost entirely on this film.
